YouTube modified its YPP policy. YouTube has made it easier for new YouTubers to make money. YPP now accepts YouTube creators with 500 subscribers instead of 1,000. You also require three public uploads in the past 90 days and either 3,000 watch hours or 3 million Shorts views in the past 12 months. Previously, you needed 4,000 watch hours in the past year or 10 million Shorts views in the past 90 days.

New creators can now use fan-funding tools like channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Thanks, and more. Creators must follow the existing regulations to earn from adverts. YouTube says, “As these creators continue to grow their channel, they’ll automatically become eligible to earn revenue sharing from ads and even more benefits once they reach the existing YPP eligibility criteria, without having to go through the full YPP application process again.” The revised YPP eligibility rules apply first to creators in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea. Youtube will implement these modifications globally. YouTube is also expanding its Shopping affiliate program to YPP-eligible U.S. artists with over 20,000 subscribers. Creators can advertise products from other businesses and creators in their movies and Shorts and earn commission on sales through the Shopping affiliate program.
