Multiple rumors are circulating that TikTok is encouraging its users to orient their phones horizontally. Now, you may be curious as to why the corporation is making such a statement. The reason is that a new TikTok feature called "Horizontal Mode" is currently being tested. It will enable anyone to view landscape-oriented TikTok movies in a fullscreen format.   According to reports, a limited number of users would first be granted access to the experimental feature. Users will be presented with a novel "full screen" button when viewing videos in square or rectangular format on their feed. Pressing the button will activate a new mode. Consequently, the film will spin, utilizing the additional area and displaying it on full screen. It is important to note that users must push the button and then rotate the screen to transition to horizontal mode. On other applications, users are solely obligated to rotate their phones horizontally, and the video will automatically adjust properly.

  TikTok is renowned for its concise and easily consumable video snippets. To encourage individuals to create lengthier and more comprehensive videos, the upload video restriction has been raised to 10 minutes. TikTok aims to appeal to content providers who are producing videos on YouTube. Conversely, YouTube has been endeavoring to compete with TikTok by introducing its feature called "Shorts." YouTube shorts are significantly briefer and can be viewed by swiftly navigating through an algorithmically curated stream. Both platforms strive to develop innovative features to rival one another.     TikTok does not provide any additional features to specifically handle landscape and cinematic videos.
